Wabi-Sabi
Wabi_Sabi from Michael Telschow on Vimeo.
Wabi-Sabi is the Japanese esthetic philosophy which finds appreciation in the simple things. Those things which will not last. Impermanence, imperfection, and the unfinished. This object or expression which provides a state of the serene or melancholy. It celebrates the elegance and beauty of age. An evidenced patina of wear or even repaired brokenness. This video attempts to convey this mood to it's audience through images of antiques, poetic Haiku, phonographic acoustic big band era music, and a "Rutt/Etra" effect which gives it a dream-like aura.
