Creativity

Creative Processing: The act of analyzing your ideas/beliefs/attitudes/thoughts/sights/smells into anything you choose. The creative process is an ever long, ever happening process. It is something or some idea that has happened, is happening, and will happen. It is a continuum that you learn from, that you act on, and that you re-act upon. It is the process that allows everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen. Without it everyone is just…

  1. comical as always. interesting that u did a performance piece about figuring out how to do a performance piece. i feel like there may have been too much acting and not enough trying to get a point across.

  2. The first few clips of your movie were interesting in regards to the creative process. I felt as if you were going to get crazier as time went on for the whole 4 minutes which would have been more constant. After reading your artist statement, I assume that the point you were getting across is that even the most routine of tasks can affect your ideas for artwork. I think you should expand on the idea of what you're going to do for the project, keep questioning yourself!
Through your videos I get to know you, and I always think that youre fascinating!

  3. I love your brand of hilarity and laughed out loud throughout the entire piece. You are very at ease in front of the camera and it is evident a lot of work went into this (so many different shots and the editing). The concept of not knowing "what to do" and so just making something up out of the blankness results in what I see as a very good piece with a your signature all over it.

  4. This is a very thoughtful, well-made, humorous, and - wait for it - CREATIVE video. I like the idea of sitting around trying to come up with an idea without any results, and then countering that by doing something mundane to momentarily free your mind. Inspiration can come from strange places, and I think that you captured that perfectly in this video. My only criticism comes from the editing. There was a very nice progression of shots, but I found cutting to black so frequently to be a little distracting. I think some hard-cutting and maybe a few transitions to signify the passing of time could get the same idea across in a less jarring way. Other than that I think this is great work, and I enjoyed the creative camera placement and acting as well.

  5. I think if the clips would have more continuous it would be better. Cutting to black is disruptive and I believe it takes away from the piece.
