My goal was to convey a story that many people experience but no one talks about. When people are alone long enough, they can start to become very eccentric in a manner that makes them do eccentric things. Throwing a party for one's self would be an example of this. I wanted to show the process an individual goes through when experiencing extreme loneliness. You may start out feeling like things will be OK and you will find some way to distract yourself from isolation and even when you do get caught up in the moment, you still find yourself alone at the end of the day, hence, the woman sitting on the floor with a bottle of tequila looking fairly introverted. The woman who sits alone represents, in the most basic way, loneliness.
